In view of latest development and technology available for liposuction, the incisions made are very small in size usually varying from 0.5 to 1 centimeter in size. These incisions are placed carefully in a natural skin fold or crease adjoining the area being treated so that they are nearly invisible.
During the procedure, a long and thin hollow tube called cannula gets inserted under the skin through a small incision. Firstly, the surgeon will inject salt water and anesthetic solution which is called tumescent liposuction. For those who opt for ultrasonic liposuction, the surgeon inserts an ultrasound probe into the fat. During the ultrasonic procedure, the fat is liquified by vibration of the probe. At the end of the procedure, the fat is removed by using high pressure machine and the surgeon moves the cannula back and forth underneath the skin. Ultrasonic and Tumescent liposuction are the advanced options in liposuction. They help to achieve best results by diminishing the swelling and bruising for a speedy recovery.

This garment is worn to diminish the swelling and help the skin to get into the new shape. The patients can take a shower on third day after the procedure. In order to help with swelling, treated areas are massaged 10 days after the surgery. This also helps to remove any skin irregularities.
